My name is Philipp Kuhn. After studying ethnomusicology at the University of Cologne and music therapy at the Leopold Mozart Center in Augsburg, I spent several years working in development cooperation in Kinshasa. Among other things, we established a music therapy program at a psychiatric clinic there.
My wife Huguette and I regularly organize concerts and workshops, as well as an international exchange between Kinshasa and Europe in the field of art.
Since 2024, I have been writing a musicological research paper at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Munich on the topic of urban life and traditional music in Kinshasa under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Christine Dettmann and in collaboration with Michel Ngongo.
